Hi Zaini,

I never saw such plant as there are hardly any fields left where wild plants grow.

However when I showed the picture to my mom, she recognised it but doesn't know it's name and said that there were a lot of these in her school playground.

Genera in the Asteraceae with the word thistle often used in their common names include:

Silybum – Milk thistle

i also find "Silymarin" somewhere during the search for milk thistle's name in Urdu or hindi ......

Explanation:
Thistle refers to the weedy species of Cirsium, Carduus, Echinops, Sonchus, and other plant genera of the family Asteraceae. The word thistle most often refers to prickly leaved species of Carduus and Cirsium, which usually have pink or purple flowers. I think there is one type [Echinops or Sonchus] which has white flowers, that is what might be Milk-thistle.

Never heard this name before but my mom recognizes it from her school days memories that this plant was common in the school grounds.

did you checked the pic attached to that mesage .. in that pic there r the urdu names for thistle plant .. may it willl help you t find the right thing ...

in the pic thistle mean is , kokhroo or gokhroo...something like that or o'nt katara   ,......... o'nt= camel
