Thank you Sharmin :hugfriend

On the Carao's site, there was written that it has been expermented in Nigeria by a doctor called Dr. Sokoto and his patients were mainly sickle cell children. I emailed him asking if it can raise the Hb in thal kids and he answered me saying that it can elevate the Hb in thalassemics.
So i will be too considering it but not now because of the new treatment and the good thing is that it is natural

Take care
Manal

Hi
When I read the testimonials of people taking carao, most were iron deficient and carao helped to increase their ferratin levels . I wonder if it aids in iron absorbtion although very low in iron itself. In any case my shipment has arrived. I had decided I would not force Hassan if he refused to take it. But Hassan just loved it.So I have decided to give him for a month.

P.S- Carao has a very strong unpleseant ordour. Truthfully it stinks. Tastes a lot better mixed with milk though.

Regards
MAHA

i am excited about carao- especially for christian who is sickle cell.

i have been on the site of Dr Sokoto and have ordered my batch.  can't wait for it to arrive.  if it helps sickle cell like they claim i might be able to prolong transfusions to 5-6 week intervals, hence more chelating of iron and less absorbtion of iron from transfusions.

cheers vic

I have received my pqt. Today and I will start giving to Priya with in 2-3 days because she is on antibiotics (throat infection) write now and I don’t want to mix them.

I hope (by HIS blessing) it will have positive effect on Priya.

I am Lloyd Standish, author of http://AnemiaAnswer.com.  I have noticed the discussion here about carao fruit for thalassemia.  I would be glad to answer any questions that I can about carao fruit for anemia/thalassemia.  I would of course avoid any promotion of my carao fruit product on this forum.
