especialy to Andy question abt chelation

Andy plz answer these question it will b gr8 favour of mine.
Here are the Questions  ::::
here r my  lab reports :

                                                     Normal range (for my age)                         Result
Serum Ferritin                                      30 - 400 ng/ ml                                     9650 ng/ml

i m taking these medicines;
                                0700 AM    1500 PM   2300 PM
Ferriprox 500 mg tab     3  +             3  +         3                 = 9 a day

Desferral  3 desferrals in  one session injected to the infusion pump ithin 24 hours  ...........

and my weight is 45 KG ..
 can u plz tell me by calculating all of these information to your formula (or method watever that was) that how long i have to carry all of these treatments to get my ferritin level under 1000 ng/ml .....coze i didnt' understand that ........ plz plz reply bcoze i m waiting for ur reply ....... i will b realy thankfull to u ........

Hi Umair,

It can't be calculated because ferritin is not a true measure of the iron in your body. It's measurement is actually more for comparison from one test to the next, but either a liver scan or biopsy is needed to measure actual iron deposits. In addition, iron absorption from blood and food can't be accurately predicted.

How often are you taking desferal? For ferritin at your level, I would suggest at least 4 times per week, along with the ferriprox. Take 100-200 mg of Vitamin C shortly after you begin the pump. Within six months you will see a noticeable change. Because your ferritin is rather high, I would highly recommend doing this. Once your ferritin is in a more reasonable range (under 2000) you may be able to reduce desferal to twice weekly as long as you keep the ferriprox dose the same.

as i mentioned above about 24/7 Ironman.
here is the Latest Updates :

IronMan is not only thinking but trying hard also to reduce his Armor '''
he found its diffcult to fly high and fast with that huge n heavy Iron made Armor ....
ironman's  scientists ( My doctor ) suggest that reduce iron levels so you can fly more easily and fast so you will be more efficient and active ......
for this purpose Dr recommended that ironman should have to take desferal therapy 4-6 times a week along with ferriprox ...
Dr said that reducing armor ( Iron of your body ) will help you to stay safe in the fight against evil powers (liver and other complications of thalassemia )  ...

ironman was facing the troublance in flying and operating aginst the evil power ( Body's evil germs and Thalassemia's complications ) so it was difficult to react fast and efficiently against the evil powers with that much heavy armor ( high levels of iron )..
Now He is taking desferal and ferriprox as dr prescribed..
Now he is feeling healthy & light in weight can move quickly and his liver is now rolling back to their real shape n size ...

in short : ironman was a little bit over weight .....

he has given blood sample test on 11 july to check their S.ferritin levels and L.F.T (Liver functioning Test ) ..
tommorow he will recieve the reports  ..
please keep remember him in your prayers and  Plea(s) ......
pray that ironman bcome a hero as soon as possiblle .

i m glad to anounce combination therapy of desferal and ferriprox works great for me....
yes it's....
i have  S.ferritin result in my hand n i m going to post all reports comparatively ...
but before i start i want to say a big thank you from the bottom of my heart
to both of you . for all the encouragement and help .... both you guys encouraged

me to start and then carry on chelation therapy ....i also want to mention that i m using

ferriprox since janaury ( 2007 ) but my ferritin were not as low as it is now ... that came

to only 13000 to 9650 ng from janaury 2007 to 30 april 2008 ...

  but now a days i m taking it in 12 -15 hours as dr presciped me

its my latest report i got today ....shuh ... i m getting succes after a long hard time ...
