Spammers Trying to Join Recently

We have been getting some spammers trying to join recently, but it appears to be an automated program, since the "over 13" box hasn't been checked and they need administrator approval to complete registration. I check the host and IP addresses and find them listed on many forums as known spammers. I delete all such members.

If any of these spammers do get through and post, please notify me immediately. Personal messages go to my business email address, so I will always see those first.

There is a cool solution too: How about if you add a captcha service from reCAPTCHA. It's free and you'll be contributing to digitizing old books one word at a time

Actually, I tried installing that a while ago and it didn't work for our theme.  So, maybe I can get Mark to install it for us and fix it up for the theme that we are using. 

I'll give it another shot.



UPDATE

Ok, I did it.  We now have a reCAPTCHA, and I also added the mod to the forum as well.  So, lets see how that goes.

Awww, Sajid, thank you so much.  I miss you guys very much as well.   

You know me.  I may get sick or have weird/horrible things happen to me, but I get right back up, dust myself off, and start fighting again.  The only way someone or something is going to keep me down for good is when my heart stops beating and I'm no longer breathing.    So, I'm ok for now. 

Please don't say that. I hope that you don't have to undergo any pain from now on. May you have healthy, happy, loooong life

I only said that because that is the only thing that could possibly keep me down, so in the meantime, I'm going to keep getting back up to fight this blood problem until it ultimately wins.     I'm not going down without a fight, though.
