Going for Umrah !

Hello everyone,

We are leaving for Umrah on friday afternoon,so i won't be around much,we'll be staying in Dubai for three days also,I'll miss you all so much    .

Do you think they'll let us carry IP6? as it contains white powder?

I have carried a whole suitcase of desferal through Dubai airports. The most that ever happens is they ask what it is and why I am carrying it. Bring some evidence that your daughter is being treated (a prescription for any med should do) for a disorder. I also take various vitamins and have never been questioned anywhere about them.

I asked zainab's dr to write me a prescription, which he did but only for ferriprox,folic acid and chewcal,as he said "i didn't prescribe this IP6 to you " .
Anyways i'll ask my cousin who is a doctor to give me a prescription.

@zaini congratulations please pray for all thalassemics to get well and their problems get solved and pray for a safe good and cheap cure btw i have also done umrah in 1998 i had a 15day trip before that i had 2 bags of blood and i didn't had desfrol there but i was fine and in my full energy and i was faster then normal people

I don't think you'll need a prescription for IP6 as long as you have a prescription for her other meds. Carrying vitamins on a trip is normal and I have never been asked once about the vitamins I carry with me every time I travel.

hi zaini its great to hear the news sis dont forget to pray for me and all thals around the world have a wonderfull journey  .... i hope u will b surprised to the miracles as i .... i went to perform umrah in 2004  and mine was  a great journey. in it i learned there is someone who is watching us and he waiting for us to contact him and make wishes so he fulfill  .... when i went to umrah there was a lot of swelling on my feet .. n i was on wheelchair ( didn't stand for a long time ..) its happen third day when i woke up ther was no swelling on my feet and when i came back to pakistan i was feeling healthy and can walk on my own too . .. may miracles will b wating for u there too. something like this will happen to u too... drink zam-zam water as much u can and also give that water to ur daughter too as much u can give... loots of prayers and loots congrats to u .... miracles waiting for u sis dont forget to remember us.....

dont forget to see makkah hilton tower ..
dont forget to taste ice-cream of makkah ( pure ice and cream )
dont forget to  check shwarma of aziz khogair hotel situated out side the harram where there th  red marbled floor end's straight to the bab-e-aziz .. ( there is a pharmacy near that and a little door of that hotel and that building has 11 floores and ther is a map of harram outside the hotel).........
and also dont forget to taste DATE BISCUITS hummmmmm.... i didn't forget the taste of that bisuits............

Have a safe trip. As long as you carry a report that says your daughter is a thal major and IP-6 is just a medicament you will have no problem. In any case women when travelling with children especially are always checked out in a hurry so as the kids don`t have a problem. I have brought homeo medicines which are not allowed in my hand bag as I had to give Hassan hourly medicines.I have never had a problem, but the checking is a little more strict whilst coming for umrah. I too would have tried to come and meet you had the weather been better. Presently we are having a lot of dust storms and it is really hhhhhhhhhhhoooottttttt.
