Gas/Petrol is selling at $1.34/litre in Canada, Everyone is complaining about the high price of gasoline, yet few people complain about the high price of some other liquids that they consume on a regular basis.
For example, look at these prices:
Iced tea 475 ml @ $1.19 = $2.51 /litre
Sports drink 590 ml @ $1.59 = $2.70 /litre
Bottled water
265 ml @ $1.49 = $5.62 /litre (for water!!!)
Travel-size mouthwash 45 ml @ $0.99 = $22.00 /litre
Liquid antacid 120 ml @ $3.89 = $32.41 /litre
Cold remedy 175 ml @ $8.29 = $47.37 /litre
But all this is nothing compared to the all-time champ:
Printer ink cartridge 50 ml @ $49.99 = $1,000 /litre
And you thought gas was expensive!
