Did anyone here attend this conference?  My understanding is that other than Dr. Vichinsky, Dr. Olivieri and Dr. Lucarelli in Italy - Dr. Weatherall and Dr. Klaassen are the most prominent doctors in the field.  I would love to learn what they talked about at the conference.

Samples of my son's blood were taken in Oakland during our last visit to be sent to England for Dr. Weatherall and Dr. Klaassen.  They are also following iron levels and chelators in his blood.

Thank you kindly for all of your research Umair,  I will certainly review it.   I was curious about whether anyone was actually in attendance of this conference because it took place in Canada.  I am also interested to hear what types of work these very prominent individuals are doing and what new information they imparted at the conference. 

I think that if anyone was present at the conference, the insight they gained would be helpful to everyone on this site.  I will keep my eyes open for future conferences in Canada so that I can attend and bring back important information for our board.
