How much calcium is in each tab that you take? I also want to remind you that it's best to take calcium with magnesium and vitamin D.

Carnitor Information
Carnitor is a medicine that is also called Levocarnitine. This product is generally used in the treatment but also in the prevention of a lack of carnitine, especially in the case of patients who are suffering from kidney disorders and who are on dialysis. This medical product is generally prescribed to those patients whose organisms are unable to properly use the levels carnitine that ought to be absorbed through their daily meals (even if they are following a strict, special diet). A lack of carnitine is a severe medical condition, as it could lead to some other dangerous disorders that are known to include diseases that affect the patient’s liver, muscles and / or heart.  Carnitine is known to generally come in two forms: D, L-carnitine and Levocarnitine (L-carnitine). Only the L-form of this substance can be employed in the treatment of severe carnitine deficiency, as it is known to the D, L-form is unable to help the patient’s organism use fat. Furthermore, this form of carnitine can even sometimes harmfully interfere in the organism’s metabolic processes, thus leading to a more severe lack of levocarnitine.
Carnitor Indications
Carnitor is a popular medicine that is employed by patients throughout the world in order to treat their carnitine deficiency medical condition. This drug can also be used to prevent this unpleasant disorder. You should ask your personal doctor to give you more detailed information about this medicine and about the benefits that a treatment with this drug is able to grant you.
Carnitor Intake Guidelines
Your doses of Carnitor ought to be taken in either with or immediately after your daily meals. If you are using the liquid form of Carnitor, we recommend you to drink the medicine slowly (in this way, your risk of developing an unwanted stomach upset is lowered). You may use the liquid form of this drug either alone or mixed with other liquids (water, milk, juice and so on). Patients who have a constant amount of carnitine in their blood are less prone to developing this drug’s side effects. If you are using more than a dose of Carnitor per day, we advise you to evenly space your doses of this medicine thorough the day (al least 4 hours apart from each other). You can ask your personal health care provider to help you work out the best treatment schedule.
Carnitor Dosage
It is known that the correct Carnitor dosage will differ from one patient to another. Each patient who starts to follow a treatment with this medicine ought to ask their personal physician to prescribe them a proper dose of this medical product. Do not disobey from your medical provider’s instructions. During your treatment with Carnitor, your personal physician might want to sometimes alter your dose of this drug, depending how your organism responds to the treatment.
Storage indications:
Keep this medical product out of the reach of both pets and / or children.
Store Carnitor away from direct sunlight and / or heat.
Do not keep this medicine in your bathroom, or in any other type damp locations. You must keep in mind that your medicine will probably break down if you keep it near heat or if it gets wet.
Store Carnitor at the normal room temperature. Avoid refrigerating this medicine.
Carnitor Overdose
If you suspect that you might be suffering from overdose with this medical product (Carnitor), we advise you to contact your personal physician and ask him or her for further instructions.

The one thing I would suggest is to also take magnesium with the calcium, in about 50% of the calcium dose. They are needed in balance for the heart, as they each regulate one side of a heartbeat. An imbalance of calcium to magnesium can be a cause of heart palpitations.

Umair,

Try replacing Evion with Tokosvit,as Evion contains synthetic vitamin E while Tokosvit contains natural vitamin E.

Hi,

What's the maximum dosage of calcium that a Thal can consume in a day. Cause its said excess calcium can lead to calcium stones. And thals are more prone to it.

I am on Alendronate Tablets. And I'm not consuming any other calcium supplement like shelcal etc.

Sahil,

You probably can take 2 600mg of calcium tablets a day since your on aledronate...Are you on any other supplements: ie: Vit D, E

I dont know where your from, but you probably be able to get a calcium tablet that has Vit D in it also with Magenesium... They are a good combination to take together, because they bond well...

Its best to take them after food or when going to bed...

I know this cause I work in pharmacy..and have been told by doctors too..

Hope this helps...

Ps: What strength Alendronate are you on? There are different sorts here in australia now... we have the 70mg, the 70mg + calcium and the, 70mg + calcium and Vit D..

Take care

Smurfette,

Thanks for replying!!

I am from India and I am on 70mg of Alendronate. I am very keen on starting with a multivitamin cause I've never been on it. And reading here that majority of thals are taking some or the other vitamins, I feel the need too.

Sharmin mentioned about Centrum Silver, but it has iron in it. Do all the multivitamins have iron in them? And is it okay if we consume those multivitamins?
