I have heard that thal majors are likely to have dry and brittle hair - is this a sign of zinc deficiency?

My daughter's hair is really silky (same problem with the clips
), my son's hair used to be the same way but lately it is a little more dry than my daughter's hair so I thought that it maybe because of a zinc deficiency. Sometimes his hair stands up like a porcupine

Hi
Zinc is very important to the body and is highly depleted by thal. Generally i check it's levels in my son's body every 3 months in addition to phosphrous and calcium.
Zinc is important because
1- It is a building block in the process of growth and lack of it leads to stunned growth
2- It is needed in the production of 350 enzyme made by the body
In Dubai airport i found in the pharmacy on shelf a syrup with a brand name Osteocare that had calcium, magnisium (ratio 2:1), zinc and vitamin D. This seems a good combination and easily administered by kids
