When to hold chelation

Little A's ferritin is below 500 (452) and at one time chelation was stopped if ferritin reached below 1000.  The new standard with exjade has been below 500.  Lately, people are trying to achieve ferritins even lower.  I would like for my son to be at a ferritin below 100. 

His doctor has suggested that we stop chelation for a while.  I think that we can afford to do this and should because his exjade gives him terrible stomach aches and decreases his appetite.  However,  I don't think we should stop all chelation when he gets below 500 because I would like to keep his ferritin below 500.  Andy, what do you think?

Lena always advised us to keep on chelation even with a low ferritin.She has a very conviencing point which is why leave the ferritin rise all the way, then start lowering it again. Why should we expose the body to free iron free radicals, then do the effort of getting rid of them

Another point is that having low ferritn does not gurantee that no iron is being loaded in the hear or the liver.

But i can understand that you are not comfortable with the stomache aches little A is suffering. So how about maintance dose or keeping the same dose but splitting it twice daily. Splitting the dose had a positive effecton stomache discomfort

I have nothing more to add to your sayings. These are things I keep saying again and again.
 500 is not a level to stop chelation. Even 100 is not such a level. I have never stopped chelation, that is why I have managed to clear heart and liver and maintain my ferritin around 100 for so many years.
