Hi SaID.
Thank-you for yor posting, Finding a good doctor here. Is like looking for a needle in a hay stack.I'm tired of going from one doctor to an other.
I know about those medical centres that was mentioned by Maiky, one of those centres I will not send my dog there.I'll rather die at home.
ONE thal patient here is not on their priority list, especially one over 50yrs old .Even though there are these places I've never heard anything mention about thalassemia.
Here in western Australia one doctor told me she was at her deep end,and know nothing about the illness ,she told me she cann't change my genetic make up and she even asked me what do I think the speciallist can do for me. The centres are mostly for cancer patient and I feel that unless one is dying no one cares,.
one has to be refered to see doctors in those centres and its hard to get a refference see a specialist.
Take for example I was refered to see a prominent heamatologist but when I got there I was allocated to be seen by two other doctors appears to me like students or intern.AND they got me very worried for three weeks when one of the doctor told me it look like ive got multiple myeloma.
I dont want to go for help anymore I'll rather see a naturopath and live one day at a time.
I live here and I know what I know I've got no ellusion about this society and my community still my immediate family is here and here offers me a better lifestyle than I would otherwise have from where I was born.I suppose I have to realise I cant have all in life.Kathy.
