Congrats on your coming baby,Andy and Narendra had summed up everything,I hope you have tested yourself for thalassemia,as two partners with thalassemia has a risk of having a thal major baby.

Keep reading previous posts and it will help you to determine what will be helpful for your wife.

Welcome to the site Shahed,

Congratulations on your wife's pregnancy.  I wish her a healthy pregnancy and your baby a healthy arrival.  I have thalassemia minor and during my second pregnancy, I also received one transfusion.  My daughter was born very healthy and my hg returned to normal soon after the delivery. 

I wish your family the best and look forward to hearing of Rakin's arrival :)
