Thank you for the update CF. I hadn't thought about the implications of the Zika virus for transfusing patients. 1 case has been identified in Alberta as far as I know.

Watch the video, it is exploding fast in Americas. It can be transmitted through blood transfusion. Just be aware of the facts and get knowledge. In the north (Canada and eastern USA) the cold weather protects population (mosquito cannot survive sub zero temperatures), summer is different story though. This mosquito survives in humid weather (countries like India, Pakistan and surrounding areas need to be vigilant).

Thank you for sharing CF. Very frightening indeed. Very sad for the babies and parents having to deal with the virus.
