Thank you. It's going to take a loooooooong time. 6weeks arm with plaster; bruises everywhere and 'headshake' (normal word?) and then therapy.  He almost lost his arm (literally!).
 

Update about me. I cant remember of post already about this. I reprated simple hgb test. It was 5.2 x 1.5 to get your measure. Its ok. This does mean its something else. Its first for sbout year to be sick by smth not caused by meds. (though i have a hard time with taking fluids.) I can't wait for Friday! Finally new blood. At wed (&thurs) I must travel with public transport to give matchblood. It scares me - I hope I make it safe.
I just had some broth and I feel so bad again! For days I had it cold and I had a low temperature. I'd to go out and see "the car" with my mother, move our stuff out and do the paperwork. When I came back from hospital I thought I was in Greenland; turned out I had a real fever. I just hope it won't get too worse. Such a waste of my week.

I'm sorry for rambling & complaining here. I hope you all are doing better!

Only dropping a note: I extra love the donor of this week's transfusion. I am feeling AMAZING. Tansfusion itself went fantastci; no pains!!!

I have no clue of the donor had a high hgb. Control is pretty good on that. Someone else suggested that it could be my "low" ferritine. I dunno. I cherish this moment. I still feel good, but probably not for long. I am facing two hard working weeks and then it's time for my next transfusion. At saturday I will attend my first congress out of the three. This one is for and from rare blood diseases.

PS In two hours I will get my flu shot!  I am thinking about putting emla on my right arm...

It's a good idea to put emla cream on your upper arm. It has been hurting since an hour after the shot, but not during the shot. The other advice: make your homework a week before the lecture  .

Hey Jade,

My father's recovery goes slowely. Yesterday he did way too much, so I hope he will rest enough today. There was and is a lot of trouble with the plaster. It nearly killed his arm; lack of blood stream. Wednesday he has a new appt.
My fever is gone. I felt great for a week after transfusion. Then my allegies hit back in. I haven't had them so worse for nearly 3 years. I still should call the gp to get my sniff, sniff meds.

I'll keep you up to date. Got a week vacation next week....

p.s. I am party deaf at the moment. Both canal of eustasia (spelling?) closed itself (partly)...
