I am a new member here to find out more information about alpha thal. My wife ( age 30 yrs) has a histroy of chronic anemia. Some doctor says it is alpha thal with Hb H disease. Some are ruling out. I did a DNA test and it does not reveal any thing.
I have some data for last 5 years on Hb , MCV , TSH etc...
Could anyone suggests me whether this look like alpha thal. Clinically she is OK ( presently having Hb 7.3) and does not look to be tired or fatigued. Last month , she was given 10 iron injection and ferritin increased but no change in Hb. She has rsumed folvite again.
