Sometimes , God breaks our spirit to save our soul.
Sometimes , He breaks our heart to make us whole.
Sometimes , He sends us pain so we can be stronger.
Sometimes , He sends us failure so we can be humble.
Sometimes , He sends us illness so we can take better care of our selves.
Sometimes , He takes everything away from us so we can learn the value of everything we have.

Madhavi,

I am so glad to hear that Mo is getting better everyday.  I am so glad that Mo will be able to forget thalassemia and move on with his life very soon.  No more transfusions and chelation - you taken on so much to give him the normal and healthy future that lies ahead of him.  God bless him every step of the way.  My prayers and thoughts will be with him forever.

Much love to you and your family,

Sharmin

I am sure this has been a very trying journey for u and I commend u for being so strong! You r a wonderful mommy and I only hope I can be as strong  for Ari as u are for Mo.  I'm so happy to hear of his progress, bless him and your family !!!  Also, mo's sister should be so proud...so many of us yearn to make a difference in the lives of others our entire life....and she has already accomplished this at such a young age.

sending love to u all

It is heartening to see Little Mo is doing great.

Madhavi,

Please be reminded that although Little Mo is cured from thalassemia but he still carries thalassemia major genes. For future you need to make sure that little Mo's partner is completely thalassemia free (not even thalassemia minor), even then your grandchildren will be thalassemia minor as they will take beta zero genes from their father.

Regards.

Thank you all guys....the joy is multiplied umpteen times when it is shared with you all...
Just got Mo's ferritin levels yesterday-1205. The doctor said that there is no need for chelation for this level as the body will take care of itself. The ferritin is already down since the pre transplant level of 1333.5 without any chelation. So that is another great news to share with you all...
Thanks Carisma...those words are so special...they reflect what a beautiful soul you are...I am sure Mo and Masumi will both appreciate this all through their life.....And I am sure you will be a truly wonderful mother too.
Yes, Canadian family....Thank you for that reminder...both my children are now carriers of the gene and we will have to ensure the thal status of their partners...when you mention grandchildren...it does sound very sweet!
Thank you all guys again...and again...I wonder if I will ever find that much gratitude within me to thank you all for what you have been to us....only a thal gene can bring us to this wonderful forum, to such lovely people...a loss for the non thals!
Love you all friends......

Love and luck to all...

Hello everyone at this thread....
Got Mohanishs third genetic test done this week. It shows 100% cells from the new bone marrow again...
His blood counts are all in normal range now...except some minor ups and downs in his liver and kidney profiles..but progressing towards normalcy...
Happy to know that and happier to share it with you all....
Its a foggy morning here in Guangzhou but I wear a pleasant smile on my face as I feel the love at this site each time I visit this thread....
Hope you all have a great weekend....
Madhavi
Love and luck to all...
