You're welcome, Sharmin. I was proud to be asked to provide a recommendation for you. Your ability to persevere in the face of great obstacles will serve you well as a lawyer.
I almost did go to law school and took the Law School Entrance Test and did well enough that my college adviser told me to apply to Harvard Law School. Being that I was 21 and had spent 16 years of my life in school, I decided against further formal education. I cannot regret it now, even though I was having strong regrets when I first met Lisa. I had been through several years of feeling that I had wasted my intelligence and was quite uneasy about my life, in spite of the success I had running my own business. Meeting Lisa opened up a whole new world for me where I could use my intellect but far more importantly, help others. I no longer have any regrets about the course of my life and am quite happy to have been put in a situation where I can touch the lives of so many people in a positive way.
Best wishes for law school, Sharmin. I know you will do well.
