phlebotomy
« on: June 19, 2014, 04:24:07 PM »
last tuesday went for normal 1/2 pint phlebotomy. at that time my ferretin was 450 & hgb was 10.9.
2 days later on thursday i went for blood work. normally i should have waited longer but it's my 6month
anniversary for clearing the hep c. needless to say hgb dropped to 9.9 & ferretin only went down to 420.
how many days does one have to wait to get an accurate ferretin level after phlebotomy. also normally how many points
per 1/2 pint does ferrite decrease? i had read that sometimes after you hit the 450 level the ferrite is harder
to remove. any/all advice would be greatly appreciated.

also i'm using my heptologist during this phase for he claims he can deal w/ both the hcv & thal. now i'm
starting to believe i need a hemotologist. in fact he couldn't address/answer the question i listed above!!!!
