Hi All,
In india this is not the only case.
I just want to share one case with all, recently i
heard
that in one of hospital in Delhi (Chacha Nehru Bal chikitsalya) transfused wrong blood to two kids. there name was similar and they transfused A+ blood to one who was actually B+ and vice versa.
Please always ensure that you are getting right blood group before transfusion.

This is a clear case of negligence both on the hospital's part as well as patient's part. Usually the nurses check the name and blood group with the patients again just before connecting the blood pack with the blood set. If the nurses aren't checking it, the patient should check with the nurse again.

Parents or patients should ALWAYS check the blood bag themselves before transfusion starts to make sure it is for the right patient.
