New Oral Pill Form of Exjade, Jadenu Approved by FDA

The advantages to this form of Exjade are that it is a once a day, time release, oral pill. Because the drug is released slowly, it should be a little easier on the digestive system, compared to taking a whole immediately acting dose. This will also give patients a longer chelation period than with the tabs, which have a half life of 8-16 hours. This should result in better chelation.

Thanks for the posting. This will make it even easier for patients that are already doing well on Exjade but hates the chalky taste. Every day thalasemmia management is getting easier. Thank God!

what is the difference between the 2 pills jadenu and ferriprox?

Jadenu = Exjade
Just in a new form. Pills you can swallow and don't need to solve in water...
In Germany there will be available approximately in the end of 2016.  I think so it will be for France.
