please excuse my delayed answer !
as there is no proper care in Stuttgart, I was advised to sent these patients to Ulm, which is very close to Stuttgart. They have a thal. expert center there. Its the Univers. Hospital of Ulm, Dr. Holger Cario. his email is:  holger.cario@uniklinik-ulm.de . He is a very nice person and I am sure he will take care of everything.

sorry for my late reply i lived in Stuttgart for 1 year and i had my blood transfusions at the Praxis für Transfusionsmedizin inKontakt und Standort

There are two lovely doctors there Dr Schabel, she speaks italian, english and of course german and Dr Stefan Kath, lovely doctor and very good in finding veins, he speaks english too.

they are not specialised in Thalassemia but for the blood transfusion are great and you can get you prescription for the iron chelators as well.

if you live in Stuttgart they are the best. Stay away from Dr Blank in Stuttgart as well.
