9 Years and We Miss You More Than Ever, Lisa

Lisa, 9 years ago today we gathered at your hospital bed to celebrate your birthday. You were too sick to wake up in spite of all the talking among friends and relatives. You were awake the next day and we celebrated as you looked over your gifts. The greatest gift was the love and friendship that everyone felt from you. How I wish things had gone differently. How I wish you were here to celebrate your birthday today. I miss you so much, as did everyone who knew you. Celebrate with your daddy and the angels today, lil sis. I will always love you.

Your mom's life was shattered when you left and she misses you so much. Her words today.

Lisa, today you would have been 43. The years go by and get harder and harder without you. All the happy memories of you keep me going. Miss you more than words can say. Love always, Your Momma.

Happy b'day Lisa.

Never got to meet you, but I cannot thank you enough for your kindness that you showed and in the spirit that you started this group.

Happy b'day, have a great one. I'm sure that you're now free from all the pains of osteoporosis and what not and hope that you're happy in the heaven, with your father.

Just want to murmur two lines from the Carpenter's "Yesterday once more",

"Those old memories still sounds a good to me,

All my best memories come back gladly to me, some can even make me cry...,

Happy Birthday in heaven my dear friend. You were such a loving and caring soul, always helping everyone. I am very blessed to have known you.

Miss you, Lisa. Thank you for leaving behind such great memories, and know that you are still helping others today, through your website. You would be very proud of Andy, who has given so much of his time to keep your legacy alive. You will always be remembered, on your birthday, and every day. <3

Dear Lisa,

We miss you, I know that if you were alive you would still be reaching out to us - to bring us together to confront thalassemia with each other's support. 
I hope that you are aware of the gratitude and adoration we all feel for you.  Thank you for bringing us all together and giving us this platform.
