Hello my daughter with a fever this week and his hemoglobin is down to 5.5. It was swell of the eyes. We do not know the reason why she have not had any viral process. it is the first time it has happened. Is it a crisis haemolytic and what is the reason? Thank you very much

One thing I want to make sure is that the hydroxyurea has been stopped temporarily until this resolves. This is an antibody reaction and quite difficult. Please do not allow the Hb to drop further. Transfusion must be continued even if the blood doesn't last long.

All we are saying is give thals a chance.
