Diet for Intermedia Patients
« on: July 01, 2015, 11:33:00 AM »
since we learned our child has Thal Intermedia, we have been constantly reading labels to identify what foods have higher amounts of Iron in it. unfortunately, everything is processed & fortified with Iron!. luckily, i have been able to find Organic Non GMO cereals, that do not have high amounts of Iron. i am keeping her away from leafy greens, and other foods so far that i found to be high in iron, and is very frustrating around other family when they do not understand her diet restrictions. am i being over possessive about her restrictions? please provide a list of vegetarian foods (including Indian), that you guys can think of have low iron. i am overwhelmed with constantly reading labels.

Sometimes , God breaks our spirit to save our soul.
Sometimes , He breaks our heart to make us whole.
Sometimes , He sends us pain so we can be stronger.
Sometimes , He sends us failure so we can be humble.
Sometimes , He sends us illness so we can take better care of our selves.
Sometimes , He takes everything away from us so we can learn the value of everything we have.
