Today would have been your birthday. I don't know if I ever knew anyone who loved birthdays as much as you. 
In spite of thalassemia, you maintained a child like innocence in so many ways, and birthdays being extra special 
was one of those ways. I remember you being so sick, but still you managed to drive through a snowstorm to come 
see me on my birthday. That's a kind of friendship that is rare in this world and I can never forget the friendship we had. 
Your memory lives on and inspires so many. And I would give just about anything to hear you crack a joke again.
