Absolutely not! (lt's even bad as bad spelling!)
You gonna get this down. Life is so much better when it is getting down and staying that way. Believe me. To reach 766 costs me more than 14years. It's better to win the low levels with excellent speed!!

Wow.....  My girls ferritin is obviously too high!
They are at about 1600 and almost 6000!
I am trying to be patient, but I can't help to worry as their mother.
The nurse practitioner told us that the goal is to maintain the level, not to decrease it.  In no uncertain terms, I told her that was not acceptable!
Now that they are both on the highest dose possible for their weights, I will wait for a bit to see if their ferritin comes down.
Blessings,
Rebecca

Wow! Nice friend and Dore has done great job reducing their ferritin levels. Our 3yr old toddler is on chelation for last 1 year with desferal and her ferritin hovers between 1300 to 1500. Her hemo in Boston just recently increased the dose. As per him, at this young age we do not need aggressive chelation. is that right?

Hi Bostonian,

You're correct. At her age and with relatively low ferritin, it is more important to get her system used to the chelator so that it can eventually be raised to the more effective level. Make sure her diet includes plenty of antioxidants.

Thanks you Andy for your reply. Your reply put us at ease about the chelation dose our daughter is getting now.

I have great news about my daughters' ferritin levels.  They both dropped over 1000 points last month.  I can't remember the numbers right now, but I will post them next time.

The most important thing to note is that we stopped putting their ExJade in the juice boxes after another member of this board reminded me that there is aluminum lining in the juice boxes.  Also, I put their juice in plastic cups and mixed them with plastic spoons.  The more I thought about the medicine and how it is supposed to bind to metals, the more it made sense NOT to get the medicine anywhere near any metal.  IT'S WORKING!

I don't understand why there are not clear statements in the medicine inserts stating to use the medicine with plastic products or something to that effect.

PS:  Did anyone read how chelation therapy is being used as part of a treatment therapy for autism?  Very interesting!
Blessings,
Rebecca

The use of chelation therapy with autism really does make me wonder about the connection between vaccines with mercury and autism. Many parents swear their children changed immediately after vaccinations but the medical establishment has been adamant in its refusal to condemn putting a toxic heavy metal into the bodies of babies. I am not convinced that any amount of mercury is safe.

I am happy to hear that your children are doing better. Metal containers can partially neutralize Exjade, so all contact with metal has to be eliminated.
