50 mg sounds like a very low dose of IP6. Usually the dose is 1000 mg or more per day. In cancer studies, the more IP6 taken, the better the results. There are no known side effects in even large doses, so this should not be a concern. IP6 is a naturally occurring substance, found in many grains. Its ability to attach to iron is why it is being researched as an anti-cancer agent and is why people are now beginning to use it to see if it can make a noticeable difference in iron concentrations in thal patients.
