Thank you Manal and Zaini,

It is so nice to see him look the way he did when he was little.  His face is clear and bright, and after his transfusion he has red lips and pink cheeks.  This is so nice to see because before the IP6 his cheeks would be pale and rusty before a transfusion and darker rust afterward.  People keep asking us if we are cutting his hair differently etc etc. because he looks so different.  Psychologically, this is so nice for us.

Hava a great day all!

This is so encouraging, Sharmin. I hope the improvement continues. I have continued to read about IP6 and it is a very effective anti-oxidant, which is very good for thals as it can help reduce the oxidative stresses that damage the cells and the organs.

Thanks Andy,
The effects of IP6 on his skin suggests to us that there must be improvement and removal of iron deposits in his other organs as well.  There was also some, subtle deposit on his gums (darkening his gums) which is also dissappearing now.  We thank you a million times each time we see these changes in him.  He looks well and radiant since we began using the product - (I think this product may have some cosmetic potential... :rotfl).

We will be testing his ferratin next week and I will post any changes at that time.

Thanks everyone for your words of encouragment!! I encourage anyone who is interested to purchase this product.

Hi Sharmin!

Even the cosmetic benefits are good enough for me!! :biggrin 'cause I could really use it. I think I am also ready to get it. One of my relative has gone to the states and I think he can find it easily and bring it back home since it is categorized as vitamin or natural/herbal medicine and won't need any prescription to buy.

Let's see if he can find it in Washington.

Take care, Peace!

Hi Andy,

I am currently giving my son 500mg 3X a day, therefore 1500mg of IP6 a day.  He is doing very well with this.
I understand that it is ok to give him 2000mg a day.  Do you think it would be a good idea to add another cap to this dosage so that he is getting 2000mg?  Because he has received so many transfusions this past year we hope to reduce his iron and protect his organs from an excess iron he may have right now.  Thanks Andy.

I hope others have also started using this product.  I would love to hear about your experiences.

Doses as high as 10 grams of IP6 have shown no side effects, so I think 2 grams is quite safe

I wonder what is the optimum dose per Kg for IP6? :hmm

I talked to my doctor about it; but she says that there is no study and statistics about it and only trusts solid proof.

I wish she could come here and read the quotations about it properties in our previous posts.

Sajid,

Unfortunately, there has been no research done concerning IP6 as an iron chelator. The research has mainly concerned the ability of IP6 to prevent cancer. Cancer cells thrive in a high iron environment and thal patients should be aware of this and do what they can to prevent giving cancer optimum conditions to develop. At the moment, it appears it is up to patients themselves, to try it and see if it helps. My opinion on IP6 is that regardless of how well IP6 chelates iron, its iron inhibiting properties, that prevent the formation of the hydroxy radicals that damage cells, and its apparent positive role in helping to control diabetes, are enough to recommend using it to every thal patient. The anecdotal evidence we have heard from Sharmin about her son's use of IP6 only gives even more reason to try it. By the way, because radical formation adds to the aging process, I have also begun to use IP6.

Hi Zaini,

I wish I had known earlier that you also wanted to try it; I'd have told my relative to pack in extra IP-6 for you as well.

He has arrived home but hasn't visited me yet and even I don't know what he has bought for me as he got confused with the name and almost bought something else which he mentioned in his email. :rolleyes

Take care, Peace!
