Title: Exjade Efficacy
Post by: Canadian_Family on July 14, 2008, 07:11:03 PM
Hello Friends,

Reference my daughter's appointment today, we found the ferritin level is 1600. The gradual decrease is evident by the fact that her ferritin was 2500 in Dec 2007, 2800 in February, 1900 in May and now 1600 in July. We are feeling a little relaxed but the target is below 1000. She is also scheduled for another ferriscan in two months, last year ferriscan result showed higher iron concentration in liver than the ferritin level in the blood.

Keeping our fingers crossed.

It's good to hear that the ferritin levels are decreasing - although sf does not always correlate with actual iron levels they do show a general trend - and it seems like there is a definite decrease.

Wishing her the very best.
