Title: e/beta thal .plse advice me

First off all thaks to all member here for their previus
post and advice.

Again i give you Aayan's recent status.

initoal electrophoresis :A-13.6,A2+E-42.2,F-44.2
Hbg-6.8 spleen enlarged

first transfused on 13.9.12.  post trnsfsn hbg 10.3
2nd on 13.10.12  pre hbg 8.1 and post 12.5
now after 21 days his hbg 10.03 and spleen normal,taking folic acid and multivitamin,very active.
now what should done?

Continue as you are doing. It is too early for chelation, but you should be investigating which chelators will be available so that you can decide which one to use. If Asunra is available, it is a good chelator to begin with for young children.

if hydroxyurea or wheatgrass juice can be used for
Aayan?

Patients with HbE beta thal often do respond to fetal hemoglobin producers. Wheatgrass is beneficial. Hydroxyurea has also been shown to have value for many HbE beta thals and can help to keep many transfusion free, or at least with a reduced transfusion requirement. It also seems that combining wheatgrass with hydroxyurea can increase the value of the therapy.
