yesterday I learned in Little E's school about 504 plan. The parent that told me about it has her child go for weekly infusion for a medical condition. Since little E goes every 3 to 4 weeks and misses out 1 day of school every 3 to 4 weeks, I am wondering if it is beneficial to have a 504 plan for her and how to go about it.
Since I am not raised here, hoping someone (hint hint: Andy :)) will 1st tell me if 504 plan is good to have and then how it helps a child. currently we do not have issue with E missing school as I work with her home room teacher and explain and so far no issue. But I go thru this process every new school year and always feel anxiety till I get a good response (that I want to hear) from her teacher. Will 504 plan take care of that anxiety? More than that, will it help E? Any suggestions or comments?

I think CAF would be best prepared to advise on this.

Andy,
I did not think about writing to CAF. Thanks for the suggestion.
