My baby age:08 Years thalassmia major patient. has developed these scars on lower legs. Can any one have seen these before? please identify what/why are these scars.
Her CBC is:
RBC: 3.2
WBC: 4.1
PLT: 145,000

I think that is caused by low platelet levels. I would suggest the child be given L-methylfolate to encourage platelet production.

Her S.ferattine is 3780. We are giving her desferal 500mg with pump on alternate days. How much time it could to lower iron level to normal

I don't think you'll make fast progress chelating only every other day. If possible, an oral chelator should be added. You should also give the child 100 mg of vitamin C when you start the desferal session to free up more iron to be removed.
