Hi Dore,
The language is Maori. They decided to use that television so that we can try and get donors from Polynesians as well. Proud? I'm more chuffed at the interest of donating blood. Alot didn't know that I have Thal. I have one colleague that has confirmed she will actually donate.
Umair, Umair, Zaini and Andy
Thank you so much for your encouragement and comments.
I got a few tears while we filmed it as I was talking about how lucky I was to be alive.
I am very lucky to have you all in my life as I have learnt to be more confident with getting the message out there about Thalassaemia. Until I met you all, I was very reserved and private about my Thal. My inspiration would be you all, my family and friends encouraging me to let others see who I really am. Giving back to the community is what you all do as you participate in this forum.
Think about how you all have helped many people who come on this forum.
Together we are all doing a great job with Andy conducting while we move along in life.
