My lil boy(11 month) has beta thal trait.everyone told me that thal trait will not need a blood transfusion. but my boy's hb level was 2.9%. and then he needed to give a transfusion. after that he was given an iron supplement. but again within 1 and half month his hb level was 6.7 and doctor told me to give transfusion again. well i was his blood donor and electrophoresis said that i am a Hb E trait. can anyone explain why his hb level keeps declining so fast? his ferritin level is also low.(3.0).and the beta trait report came after i donate him blood.plz help someone about this.
